For those living in the area around Holly and East 120th Ave. It has seemed like a long and agonizing wait for the new Thornton library to open. That day has finally come!!! After months of one lane road access while widening the streets, and watching as the building slowly took its lovely shape, we wait no more!
The inside is just as beautiful as the outside, with all new books and technology galore! Not only can you check out a book, but you can check out audio CD's and DVD's. There is a large computer station, private group rooms, a large children's section with wonderful reading nooks, Barns and Noble style organization, a garden area surrounding the exterior of the building, an indoor/outdoor fireplace, several librarian stands, and self check out!
Now is a great time to get your library card!
